What Parents Say

“Before enrolling at Nature to Nurture, my son Max was unable to express his emotions in ways that were understood by all. As his mum, I knew that inside he was struggling, and his outward behaviour to me showed insecurity and lack of confidence. To others it would seem he was mean, angry, and perhaps lacking empathy. As a result he found it hard to share and play in a group of children. The result was a difficulty to form friendships with other kids and relationships with adults too. Max needed support, love, and to be told he was good; to be encouraged, not criticised. The team at Nature to Nurture did exactly that and so much more. After a couple of weeks I was approached by all the staff, every single team member listened intently as Julie asked me about Max, interested in who he was and how they could help him. They knew that my little boy was in there somewhere and saw through the behaviour he was showing them. They believed in him. Being at school hurt Max. He was not a child that sat still and conformed. He is a free spirit and this wonderful place is supporting who he is, who he wants to become.”

“When Ols started at N2N he was a former shadow of his once happy and carefree self. School had left him broken. He was withdrawn, scared, upset beyond belief, his anxiety had caused him to develop a stutter and every morning was nothing short of heartbreaking seeing how devastated he was going into school. I was worried the damage was irreversible but after just a month or so of being at N2N I could see massive positive changes – he was healing!! He no longer felt trapped, he no longer felt different and he was free to be himself! He has made some wonderful friends and is just so excited about life now! He’s so much more physically able than when he was sat behind a desk all day but the biggest positive for us is that his mental health has been completely overhauled. Initially it took a few weeks of visits to N2N for Ols to feel confident enough to stay without me so I was able to see first hand how things run at N2N and I was just blown away! Not only with the staff but the children too! Every child was so content, so independent, so confident and so caring and considerate of the other children. It felt like one big family. I knew this was going to be perfect for Ols! A few months after he began at N2N we were sat around the dinner table chatting about his day in the forest. A few minutes later Ols said “Thank you so much… this is the life I always wished for”. We couldn’t ask for anything more than that! We have our happy boy back and we can’t thank Julie and the team at N2N enough for all of their help and support and providing Ols with such an amazing opportunity!”
